Incandescent bulb vs. LED bulb
Incandescent bulbs produce light by heating a tungsten filament, wasting much energy as heat, so they’re inefficient and short-lived (around 1,000 hours). LEDs create light in a semiconductor, making them far more efficient, longer-lasting (15,000–50,000 hours), cooler-running, and more durable. Both turn on instantly; incandescents dim easily, while LEDs need compatible dimmers. Incandescents are warm with excellent color rendering; LEDs offer many color temperatures with generally good to excellent CRI.
